So i wake up early this morning and all my brain is thinking about is going to the pokies. All it is replaying is some of the good wins i have had the last few months and coveniently shying away from the worse losses that followed.
So i am laying there waiting for the alarm to go off with all this whirling through my mind.
But a tiny voice in another part of my brain is going "why are you thinking about this? "
Then it occurred to me it's payday and as soon as I realized it all made sense. Weirdly i then went oh well and started thinking about other things. 20 days GF 😊

Hi Cazza......15 days......congratulations!! and yes you are so right.......the urges are so much stronger when money is available. Last night I talked to my aunty about looking after some of my savings. The temptation is too great when I have some money for sure........we all know the story!! So this is the first time that I am being openly honest that I cannot trust myself with my own money.

It is so good you are able to talk to your husband too, and also find things to do to fill in the time.......well done Cazza......Jo :)

So 15 days GF and i am in a happy place at this stage. Felt some real urges to go last week as i had a few hours to myself.
As i said to my husband i would have gone if i had access to money and it was also a habit of the fact of free time =gambling time in the past.
This is something that I have to retrain my brain to understand. I ended up painting the hallway which i found really relaxing and also the time just flew by as well.
Breathe in and breathe out. I am starting to find myself again 😊

Well done on day 10 GF.

That has happened to me a few times. Got overwhelmed with "gambling thoughts".

Good to have plans in place to keep mind occupied.

So day 10 GF and feeling good. Found that i couldn't really go on the forum yesterday as it was making me want to go and gamble when i was reading stories. So spent the day having a clean out and cooking . Decided that the hallway needs a paint so that maybe next weekends project 😊
