    Today

    Thu Jan 04, 2018 5:49 am

    Sometimes I find
    Money gone
Is all that comes to mind
    I may as well
    Have flushed it away
Or threw it out the window

There is very little to be gained dwelling on the past , what you do today is the way forward .
Today will be tomorrow's yesterday .

Often this is why we relapse - chasing yesterday's money
It'll never come back, neither will the time and emotional toll this has affected us.

    Another great poem FG

Yes. I know the feeling. I relapsed last weekend. I found out a work colleague died of a heart attack over Xmas/New Year break. Only a few years older than me and only early fifties. Way too young. It has hit me hard. Its no excuse but I blew $800 on the pokies last weekend. I spiralled out of control. I am so mad with myself for doing this. I am back on track this week. I hope 2018 will be the year I finally get rid of these machines out of my life. I am so sick of these machines controlling my life.

Sorry to hear of your relapse Catherine. Great to hear you are back on track.

Difficult times are often a cue to go back to what gives us comfort.
