deal with your moods for what they are....rather than hiding behind gambling...excellent!!!!!
That makes you a more real and honest person.
You cant solve all of your lifes problems in one day....
Get rid of gambling first for GOOD and you can work the rest out later...
Your building a new life a as a NON GAMBLER....
Your urges are gonna get smaller and smaller..
soon you wont even be thinking about it anymore
because you wil be done...done...done..!!!
I prefer an angry little non gambling peopod anytime
to a sad and unhappy one.
When I found my strength I started to do like pamela and I said....
IIM NEVER GOING INTO THOSE PLACES EVER AGAIN.

Its a good mantra
I wont gamble today.and I wont go in a venue
Remove the temptation and it becomes much easier
Life is so much better after gambling

Hi. Another weekend gamble free. I drove past an old favorite venue of mine yesterday and got an urge to look in the window. Not sue why but I did. I wanted to just look and see so I drove past went to a park and called the help line. It's not that I wanted to go in but I felt a pull towards it like an old friend. I have no desire to gamble but the venues and memories of being in those venues will always be there. Happy Sunday everyone .

Thanks Pamela. Yes your right I now those sad faces because I used to gamble next to them and was one of them. The helpline actually asked me what wil would I see if I went in there and my answer was lonely sad people. Today we are going out for Father's Day and I have purposely chosen a pokie free venue. We always enjoyed the RSL but we won't be going there today. Pre planning is now very imporTant.

Hi everyone I haven't gambled for 36 days today. It's a big number for me and although I really want to count the weeks instead of days here I am at day 36. I want to thank this web site for support. And I hope to keep going strong on this very hard and sad at times story of mine.

Peapod,
enjoy whenever you can that feeling of success because your doing it!!!
Your not gambling and others who have just joined this website are admiring you and wishing they could be like you..
and they will be so too in a little while. if they keep at it.
You are inspiring others because your struggle has been very hard as you have shown in your first posts..
you have come so far!!!!!
so don't stop now and keep going.
every day i remind myself to feel good that i stopped gambling...
it only takes a minute
and it fills the days with sunshine.
