Been addicted to the Rex Hunt since I was a kid. Trying to stop because it's really effecting my life. I don't know how to and to be honest I'm not sure i can.

    Hi @Lukejc007,
Welcome to the forums, thank you for sharing!
Starting the journey can feel a bit lost and overwhelm. One way to get some guidance is to give the National Gambling Helpline a call. The number is 1800 858 858. You will be talking to a gambling counsellor who can give you some information about available services and support out there around you.
It's okay to feel scare and have doubt on how and where to start, in fact, many people are as well. that's why we are here and many other members went through this as well, so we are all here to help. Just let us know~ You can @ myself or @Printemps on your post if you have any questions for us.

Hi there, I’m 30 and this is my first post/attempt at getting help. I’ve had a gambling addiction since I was 20 years old. I’ve lost hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years in pokie machines. And my addiction is mostly secret from my husband other than the odd time I’ve had to come forward saying I’ve gambled as an obvious amount of money has been spent. I’m pregnant with my first baby at the moment yet still am struggling. I don’t know how to stop or where to start. I carry so much shame and guilt that often drives me to gamble more. I just want to be normal.

    Hi @Lara Omaz

Welcome! I'm currently moderating the forum :)

Reaching out for the first time is tough, but I'm glad you've found this space as a first step.
I'm sorry to hear you've been dealing with this gambling issue on your own all this time, and now with a little one on the way. That must be really lonely!
What do you think fuels your gambling?
