I gambled today, so tomorrow will be dat one.
I usually go all week without gambling, but then make up for it on a Friday/Saturday and Sunday.
I know I'll be okay for days 1-4, but day 5 (Friday) will be hard.
Here's to the next 100 days.

Re: Day 0
I usually tell people to think one day at a time ... but if you think you will be ok day 1-4 then you can prepare for day 5 by reading posts and learning to understand how to resist temptalions and overcome urges. There are tips on how to do this on the homepage's self-help link.
It is said that we need to replace time spent gambling with another activity. Perhaps you could visit friends or family ?

Re: Day 0
Days 1 and 2 went okay.
It's day 5 ,6 and 7 I need to through.
I can't remember the last time a weekend didn't involve a trip to the pokies. And these aren't short trips, they are usually 6+ hours.
I have made dinner plans for either Friday or Saturday night, just need to confirm
The night and then movie afternoon with my daughter on Sunday.

Re: Day 0
I have the same problem. I don't even think of playing pokies Monday to Thursday, but have a big problem with Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. These are my problem times. I blew $900 last Friday night and really wild with myself. I am now back at Day 5. I have recently signed up on this website to get the daily SMS messages. I have found these have helped as it reminds you to stay on your game. This may be a good thing for you to join up to? All the best with your challenge. We are in this together.

Hi Tja, pj's are always good. Keep your spirits up you are doing well and if you can find another job over the weekend then go for it. Works 2 ways, earning more money and not losing money. Debts paid off much sooner. The machines are just one big rip off. Learn to hate them. Love your money and yourself.
