Yesterday I walked past the building where I first started my counselling .It brought back so many memories.I remember when I first started going I would look around to see if anyone could see me going in.I would walk in feeling very vulnerable and ashamed.
Yesterday when I walked past, I smiled.I walked past with confidence and power, but thankful for the wonderful help I was given in those early days
Stay strong and fight the good fight

I often think I would like to turn back time so I could cancel out my years of gambling,
But then I think, without all the torment and hardship and shame and guilt,I wouldn't be the person I am now.
Strong,confident,honest
I had to be someone else to be be me today
Am I sorry about my past?
Of course, but it shaped my future
You too ,can shape yours, its never too late to start again
Life might not turn out how we would have liked it to..but when you stop gambling you have been given a new chance at life,so take it and embrace it
Don't give up the good fight

i agree Pam. I always think about how i could go back and do things differently with everything i know now but who is to say i wouldn't have used that knowledge and not addressed my issues under lying my addiction?
Today is a hard day, i use to always go extremely hard and gamble all day on Melb Cup day. Today will be the 1st time i havent bet on today in 19 years. This is the 1st time i've had an urge since the end of August but im riding it out. I can beat this and i will.

Good on you Pricey for meeting the challenge and beating the urge.
Beat the odds by being gamble free.
Be proud of how far you have come
