I have just helped a good friend celebrate being 10 years pokies free..what a great achievement it has been and I am so grateful I have been a part of her recovery.
We can all achieve this if we want to..it takes guts and determination.

I went into a Pokie Room today ,first time in along long time ,and all I felt was sadness for the list souls sitting at those machines.
No-one looked away,no-one smiled..blank faces waiting for the rush
Made me very grateful I am not part of that anymore..
    Power to us all

I notice there isn't much activity here at the moment.I am surprised yet glad..with the hotels and clubs all shut there must be lots of people who are struggling at this time.
But you are not alone ..there is help and maybe it is a kick start into stopping
Stopping is hard at anytime but when it is not your choice it must be harder
I only hope that online betting has not increased
    Be strong and stay away
    I personally would love
To walk into a venue and listen to the silence and rejoice at the empty seats
    Makes me happy
    Have a great Easter

As we are slowly working towards life going back to normal..I wonder how long it will be before pubs and clubs reopen and there is a cascade of people banging down the doors to start down the path of destruction again.
I really hope that people have the resolve to stay away and continue to.But if they do,then I worry that a new generation of people will push that button for the first time and feel that rush of adrenaline and slowly go down the path to addiction.
    I hope not.
    What are your thoughts?
