Do you want to stop?
I think you do or you wouldn't have come here, good on you for doing so.
You can stop ,it takes time and it can be really hard, but really worth the battle
Don't give up

Unbelievable how addictive these things are. I feel your pain sounds exactly the type of money I was spending, which considering I've never been a high income earner, terrible.

You know tbh I've tried to give advice before on here, but really I haven't got an effing clue how one stops.
I've been rock bottom that many times it's not even funny, and after every time I would say "That's it, it's done, never again, I sweat on my life" etc, etc always went back.

I'm currently not playing, I think about a month so fingers crossed.

I have no real advice or strategies to offer, except Don't quit trying to quit!

All the best!

Trying to quit is tough..but so is losing all your money.
I know which I would prefer.
Can you confide in a family member or close friend?
They might be shocked, but could be willing to help you.
Limit the amount of money you carry..dont carry any cards..
Try everything to stay away..
Have you considered counselling??
Dont give up the fight

Hi there @45sup and welcome to the forums!
Calvin here, one of the moderators.
As you can see, other members on the forums have experienced this for themselves.
It can be a tough cycle to break and it does take time, putting in strategies and also boundaries to help stop those urges to gamble can be a start.
Have a think about different activities that can help distract you from the urges.
Have you considered self-excluding yourself? Or even some gambling counselling?
