    Struggles

Hi everyone sometimes it can be so hard to stay strong . I went to a show at the casino on the weekend and found myself surrounded by gambling , this is not the first time but my interest in pokies seems to have disappeared but now have a new interest in roulette which is much stronger making me want to gamble again . I don’t think the feeling ever goes completely away it’s just how you manage it
Thank god im seeing my counsellor this week !!!

    Hi @Mongoose
It seems you found yourself having a strong urge for different mode of gambling lately, which you would like to manage well.
Also I learnt from your previous posts that you achieved 14 months gambling free at the end of last year.
It was such a great achievement and made you feel good!
I hope you can continue with it and have a good session with your counsellor this week.

Hey Mongoose..dont give in to these new urges..or your life will rotate in the same direction as the roulette wheel..its really hard to not succumb to the urges but it's worth the effort when you can walk away

Sometimes our lives are so full of stress and worry we are looking for that quick escape but it’s not worth it Even if your at 1 day or 1 year it’s not worth going there again

    I hear you there Mongoose.

I had a really hard time late last year.
The thing is being gamble free Is the reality of these stresses and worries have a different perspective. .. so I think. I am learning to not be overwhelmed with worry, my psychologist has taught me that just because l try hard NOT to worry doesn't mean l don't care. I'd thought if I didn't worry it meant I didn't care. And now I'm learning to let go of those worrying things that I have no control over. I feel so much more accepting about those worrying things... as part of life. l guess as time goes by we do get stronger and we may not even realise just how strong we are!
