Thank you for reaching out. It must have been difficult but you are doing the right thing by trying to get some support. I'm sorry to hear that gambling has had a big impact on your personal life. Managing this on your own is really tough. I wonder if you have considered calling the gambling helpline on 1800 858 858 which is a 24*7 service. It would be worth trying it before your payday to come up with a plan or some strategies to not use the money for gambling right away. I would encourage you to continue to reach out as with some help and support things will change positively. Take care of yourself Cor! We are here for you.

Today I begin my recovery after more than 20 years of gambling. I am sick of wasting money on sports betting in the AFL. I am sick of blowing my hard earned money on things that are out of my control. I am tired of hiding my feelings from friends and family. I know I am better than this.
