Hard to write this because I don't really want to see the real me. Grew up in a gambling household. Have basically been gambling one way or another since I was around 10 years old. Was never really a problem until the pokies came. Last 25 years I have developed a love hate relationship with them. Have never been a big $$ gambler, but have wasted so much of the very limited disposable income I have. I often look around a venue and see people that look desperate and think I hope I never end up like them. The truth is, I have always been one of them. I can almost go into a delusional state thinking if I get the "spins", all will be well. I have just started to "see" myself, and how I must look when I am playing . On the odd occasion I would leave with a few hundred in my pocket, only to be back thinking this is the start of a lucky streak, only to pump it back in and feel like absolute crap, doing the walk of shame out of the venue, trying to look like all was fine, when on the inside I was feeling like throwing up. This is the first time I have shared after a lifetime of gambling. Hope its the first day of a new way of life and I wish the same for everyone else here.

Hi@Nelson we are all here with you, not too many don’t do the walk of shame, hit rock bottom myself just 16 days ago, again for the lost count how many times.
This site keeps me coming back though, so we will try again and get it right this time, all the best, keep checking in.

Thanks mate. I hope the last time was your last time. It's like when I finally gave up smoking after 100's of attempts and years of trying, one day it just finally happened and all the attempts were worth it. You can do it! It probably doesn't feel like it but you can. Good luck mate, cheering for you!
