I have been gambling on pokies for 10 years now...... it started with grief and now i do it because i dont do anything else..... i have lost significant money gambling and thinking on it such a dissappintment.... i dont have friends and i am an introvert so now gambling is literally the only activity i do outside of work..... if i sort myself out it will take me 2 years to get out of the debt ive gotten myself into..... i dont lose all of my money i always pay my bills and live, but i throw away every spare cent...... i dont feel likw gambling today but thats because i lost significantly yesterday $3700.... i dont feel great about it.... i dont want this to continue to be my entire life.....estimating i beloeve i jave thrown away over $300,000

It sounds like things have been difficult for a while, but yesterday really shook you. Is this the first time you've reached out for support or tried to stop the gambling? I'm asking as it cans sometimes to be difficult to know where to start, so I wanted to see what plans or strategies you have in mind to help you manage everything at the moment?

@User 63d30497a7888 welcome and thank you for your sharing.I have been in recovery 30 plus years since 6/5/1989. Life gets better when you choose not to gamble you sound like you may wish to change? Happy to share my thoughts and experience if that may help? My thoughts and prayers are with you.
