    Hi there,
    I'm 25 years old currently pregnant with an 8 year old, I've been gambling on and off for 4 -5 years. my partner was transferring money into a savings account that I had access to, I ended up spending it (a lot) now he is wanting to leave. I need food and petrol and I have no one. No family, no friends. I just can't keep going on like this. It's so destructive.

    hey @charmaine96,

    Thank you for sharing your story, it takes so much courage to be so open and vulnerable, so good on you. These forums are a place for you to connect with others and find judgement free support.

    It sounds like an incredibly difficult time for you, especially not having people you can turn to for support at this time. Is this something you feel you could have a conversation with your partner about? In terms of being able to support you right now?

    Have you previously sought any support for your gambling, or spoken to anyone about it before now?

    I'm going to tag some members just to bring in some support and advice

    @Kevcollingwood @JinxyWolf @pamela @BrisbaneLad @Hollymonster @yep123 @AGHS

    Please let us know how you're going today?

    Hi I’m a 37 year old woman since moving to Victoria and being introduced to pokies (we don’t have them where I’m from) I’ve gradually built up a gambling addiction. I work hard and earn good money but have absolutely nothing to show for it because of this. I get paid and besides what I need for rent and bills it’s gone the next day. I’ve known this was a problem for a while but For the first time today I gambled my whole months rent that’s due in 2 days in a couple of hours on an online casino :( Even when I win it’s never enough so I always just keep playing it down to nothing. I’m deeply ashamed and really don’t feel comfortable sharing this with anyone in my life, I know my family would be supportive but I’m just so embarrassed I can’t tell anyone. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of this for me.

    Thank you so much I will have a look at it! Breaks my heart reading all these posts and everything people have lost but it’s also such a relief knowing I’m not alone in this.
