Hi Malvina,
Lovely to hear from you. I read some of the other comments to PeaPod and Jo that you made and I couldn't help but smile. It is so good to know you have the pokies under control. I will have to abstain from them I think. Certainly I have little control at the moment.
I could relate to your posts and hobbies though. The prawns made me chuckle. I hope you enjoyed them. I am lucky enough have a side job cleaning the office where I work (just a couple of hours every 2nd or 3rd Sunday morning. Every few months they pay me with Coles gift cards which is so cool. I get great groceries then and get a huge amount of the lamb chop cutlets for a family BBQ :) Lovely.
I'm glad you are settled in yourself. Thanks for the banking tips......... that is a work in progress for me. There is improvement though. :) Thank you for the post. Joy

Hello Joy
Happy to hear things are going well for you, I know that NAB doesn't have a cardless cash feature, I don't think ANZ does either but not 100% sure.

Re: and the bank just made it harder ....
Reading your posts, I realise that HE has helped me more than I realised! Twice my son has given me the most up to date smart phones and each time I have begged him to take them back. My eyes just can't cope with all the movements I have to stare at things a while before I can focus - I have ALWAYS been like that
therefore never been a reader I'm a top bridge player but no academic. Those phones just freak me out - and if they didn't my gambling would be totally out of control.! Picking up phone to transfer money - that is all I would need to make me the worlds' worst gambler. I just don't know how you can get it under control by using them. And I realise that it would be more than your life was worth to get rid of them
Haha! you'd rather come on here and moan about your problem than do it
So I say...... 'Thankyou Lord'.....

Re: and the bank just made it harder ....
The trouble is they will probably all.end up with this feature. It is just to darn easy to gamble these days. Ive joined up with every bookmaker in australia iver the last 5 years.....some even multiple times after self excluding myself. Everytime i have done this on my phone....often while the kids and wife have been in the same room. Im able to watch races on my phone and bet while completly ignoring my family. Its just sad......amazing how far technology has come but sad. Its even at the point now where if i put a bet on at the tab and have a winning ticket in my wallet i can scan it on the tab app and bet with that money at home.....you literally cannot win!

Re: and the bank just made it harder ....
this is exactly what i was looking for,,,,,which bank can help me!!!!!! i want to be able to do internet banking to pay my bills but i also want to limit cash withdrawals. Has anyone found a bank that will do it? i was thinking i could open another bank account....transfer my leftover money from pay after paying bills( this would be pre- scheduled ) so that i wouldn't have a chance to get the cash. with the other bank account i would activate the card but then i would cut it up and never use it, the only way i could get my money is too transfer it back to my original account.which would take 2 to 3 days usually.......... i going to give it a go....i have to do something drastic as i cant go on like this much longer......its killing me....

Thats a great idea. Similar to what I did... gives you time to ''think" about it and fight off the urges!

Anyone who wants to limit the cash withdrawal, I have an option for you. Try an account with Westpac with no debit card and ask manager to disable Cardless Cash search on mobile app. Queen Street branch in Brisbane was able to help me with this. Now, I don’t have access to any cash due to deactivated cardless cash feature and no debit card. Hope this helps.
