Hello everyone to start this weekend lets do some re-framing!

Someone close to me has moved inter-state, which has been a very difficult thing to process this past week. However, it has been a kick to get myself on top of the aspects of my life which I can control to make things around me as nice as possible!

How has everyone else been? Have you guys had some difficult times that you've been able to draw on and come out of stronger?

I thought I'd just change this up a little and go back to an old classic! Turning negatives into positives!

I've just left isolation for covid and while having a week at home on my own being sick wasn't the most fun it did give me a chance to reflect on stuff that's been going on for me and allowed me time to properly address and process things! It can be daunting being on our own but at times it's really important. We need space and time for self-reflection, without it e can't grow. So being forced to do that this past week was really a blessing in disguise.

What about everyone else? What things have been going on for you that maybe need a bit of reframing?

okay everyone it's time for us to check in with ourselves and do some reframing! Reframing is great because it can help us get perspective on certain events and situations in our lives and see the good things that may have come out of them!

This week I've been pretty tired and feeling a bit run down, but it has meant that I've been able to stop and actually recognise that I need to revaluate the pressure I put on myself and properly start engaging with self-care. It can be hard when we want to keep going at 100% but that isn't realistic all the time, so being forced to slow down a little can actually be a really useful thing! Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day

    So how about everyone else?

Day 2 for me. Or technically day 1 as I had gambled yesterday before starting this journey. Have joined this forum and also the 100 day challenge. Purchased the book Atomic Habits today. Have been thinking alot about the actual amount I have blown. Not good. No idea how I wil dig out of it.

I placed gambling blocks on 15th July, but found it's only block card transaction, so there are other ways to deposit to account. Lost more money. Last deposit was July 30th, lost it. Since then I have placed exclusion for 6 months. I dont know why I didnt select more than 6 months or life time. I guess I'm giving my self 6 months to get under control.

I'm not thinking too much about gambling. However I do worry about the financial situation I'm in, which in the past has lead to more gambling...chasing losses. Started counselling and financial counselling.
So it has been about 12 days with no gambling.

Payday tomorrow and I know i wont be gambling so that's a positive.

    Hi @NewDawnNick
It is great it had been 12 days gambling free.
And you started counselling and applied self exclusion. You are doing what you can do in order to make a change to gambling.
I would like you to feel good about it. It takes patience and times but you are doing your best.
I hope you will feel better if you don't gamble today.
    Keep us posted!
