Thought I would share this information: Gambling in Australia during COVID-19 survey
The Australian Gambling Research Centre, part of the Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS), are the Australian Government’s key research body examining the effects of gambling in the community.
We want to understand how Australians who gamble have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Who can take the survey?
To take the survey, all you need is to be 18 years old or over, living in Australia, and to have gambled in the past 12 months.
How long will it take? -The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete.
What is the survey about and what will we do with your responses?
We want to find out how people in Australia have adjusted to recent changes in gambling availability. We hope to learn more about the types of products people gambled on before and during the COVID-19 restrictions (e.g. sports, racing, pokies, casino games), and how people’s gambling participation, alcohol consumption, and health and wellbeing have changed with the restrictions in place.
Only our researchers will have access to the data, which will be de-identified and confidential. We will share general insights and trends from the survey with the general public, government and non-government agencies, to help inform responses to prevent and reduce gambling-related harm in the community.
Your time is valuable. To thank people for their time, we will award $200 gift vouchers to five randomly selected survey participants.
