Day 0 - absolute rock bottom
Rock bottom. But I’m alive, I’m breathing. And I can crawl my way back out of this gigantic hole I’ve made for myself.

Hey @Greegz
I would also like to know how you're doing?
That determination I read in your post will serve you well in beating this. I hope you will use the forum to get a top-up on that determination, should it run low.
We're here for you...

Re: Day 0 - absolute rock bottom
Day 2. One day at a time. I always find the week after having a huge blowout very easy to not gamble. Because the pain is so fresh. It’s after a week that my mind forgets that we are an addict and in a huge hole of debt. An addicts brain can play all sorts of tricks on itself.
So far so good, we will see where my mind takes me the next few weeks.

Keep up the good work @Greegz
You have some good insight to your pattern. You know that next week will be the biggest challenge for you. Doing daily check ins here will be a great asset to get you through that patch.

Re: Day 0 - absolute rock bottom
Hey @Greegz 100 percent agree with you that it’s easier not to gamble for that week after a blow out.. but to even make the realisation, you must’ve gone through a ton of reflection from past experiences.
Use the forum posts as a bit of a reminder to ground yourself, you are doing the exact right thing!!
One day at a time!! Use your forum post as a bit of energy boost for the day! I feel better every time I post about how I feel on the forum (good or bad)

Re: Day 0 - absolute rock bottom
Hey @spentitallagain @the_penguin @Printemps i am still going strong. I decided to turn off my phone and go disappear somewhere with no reception for a while. Far away from gambling. Cleared the head and I’m doing well!
17 days so far. On the right track. Thanks for checking in when you did
It does feel good to know people check in when you need it
