Day 68 today.
Still get haunted by decisions of the past, guilt drives me mental sometimes. A lot pain and hurt to absorb sometimes. Keeping busy!! I know gambling will make it worse. Have to stay strong!!

@spentitallagain it can be hard to move past our past actions! Remember to be kind to yourself, and also keep in mind that while it is painful to sit with our past actions or behaviours, it can be important to help us recognise what we have to change and accept what we cannot undo.

Re: Starting all over again! Day 1
Today is Day 76.
Things are going really well and apologies for not posting an update in a couple of days but things have been running smoothly, very easy to complacent though. One day at a time.
Life is feeling a lot better, honestly feels great to be in a better position to where I was a couple of months ago, I feel more in control of my life.
- Anxiety is significantly less
- Self esteem is much higher
- Debt is slowly reducing
- Goals are slowly not feeling like a mile away
- Overall health and well being is much improved, have lost weight, eating better and exercising more
- Sleep is better
- Work productivity is much much better
- Time in the day has significantly increased
It’s crazy to look at this list above and remind myself that this is just in 75 days of being gamble free. It’s a great motivator to stay gamble free for the rest of the day today.

Start of Day 79 today
Tracking along really well.
Was having minor urges yesterday…
I think due to the fact that I have a bit tighter budget next month with bills etc.
Financial squeeze at times has been a trigger
That very small fraction of my brain trying to justify that gambling could be a “solution”
I was able to shower those urges down in my mind by reminding myself historically what has happened in the past when choosing to gamble and the misery that it ensued..
Just have to keep chipping away. One day at a time!

Re: Starting all over again! Day 1
@spentitallagain Congratulation on the the 79th day!
It's good to hear that you are coping well as well holding well with the feeling of urge. It's good that you are mindful about the urge and what is triggering them. Knowing the triggers can help you find a way to better manage them.
You've done well~

Re: Starting all over again! Day 1
Day 83 starts today,
Have some spike urges from time to time, last night I was home alone and my partner was out.
I felt like I had no barriers to head down to the pub, sink a few pints and put bets on. But I surfed the urge. Definitely had 5-6/10 spikes in urges which lasted all of about 2 minutes.
Feeling greatful at this stage, work on today as is if it’s day 1 again just have to hang in there!
