Day 1 of being held accountable

    Sun May 30, 2021 7:21 pm

    Hi everyone,
Today is the 1st day of holding myself accountable for my pokie addiction.

As of this moment I have a total of $33.66 in my bank account that has to last me until Wednesday. Over this 100 day challenge my hope is to not only avoid playing the pokies but also keep tabs how much I can save. The hardest days for me are going to be Wednesdays as that is when I usually get paid so I’ll probably update this thread each week around that time. Fingers crossed 🤞

    Hi @maxpowers,

Congrats on your Day 1 gamble free! :D

Sorry to hear you're struggling with finances at the moment. Keeping tabs on how much you can save throughout this challenge is a great goal.

It's great you've identified pay days on Wednesday as a trigger moment for you. Have you thought of things you can plan ahead on that day to keep you away from the pokies? Perhaps meeting with friends or going to the movies?
