So it would seem that I have lost track of my days... I believe it is day 20.

In the time since my last post I have been up and down with my moods.

    The urges are diminishing.

I have told the whole truth to my fiancées parents, and to my own. Despite the obvious disappointment, everyone has been supportive.

Today I had somewhat of an epiphany.
I arrived at my session for F45 feeling ok.... from the moment the first exercise started I focused all of my anger and sadness into every exercise... I threw everything I had into every movement. My whole body is aching right now..... bad damn my brain feels lighter.

Amazing @Lookin4Help !! Despite you feeling up and down with your moods, which is normal, you have channeled it in other ways through physical exercise which is great !! So glad to hear you feel much lighter!

    Day 70

Wow it has been a while since I last posted, but I am still going strong.

Since the last time I posted I have married my fiancee and I now have to refer to her as my wife haha.

It has been an interesting space of time since I last posted.

My cousin came to me to express concerns about her own gambling issues, and I have directed her to use the free counselling service.

I personally have had great results using the counselling service, and look forward to my weekly sessions.

Whilst away on my honeymoon, I faced the extremely difficult challenge of staying across the street from the Casino; this served as a reminder that no matter how "cured" I think I am, this disease will be with me for the rest of my life.

To anyone just visiting this forum, you have the strength to conquer your demons. A good friend of mine reminded me that " 2 steps forward and 1 step back" is still 1 step forward. Keep pushing and stay strong.

I have honestly lost track of the number of days since I last gambled.
According to the Gambling Addict App i have, it has been 5 months and 28 days since the last time I gambled.

I haven't had any urges to gamble and keep myself busy by focusing on my family and friends.

I remain acutely aware that this demon will never truly leave me.

For those trying to quit, I implore you to remember that this isn't a yes/no problem. This is something that you will work on for the rest of your life.
If you falter, pick yourself up and go again. The more you try to quit, the better results you will have.
