Re: Day 2 of 100
Day 8 - I took some of my family kayaking and it was the same cost as a good night gambling - but so much more rewarding. I’m still getting urges and they’re along the lines of ‘a little bit won’t hurt’. Managing to resist - one day at a time. Thanks for the encouragement.

Day 9 - still getting some temptation but getting easier as more normal now to not gamble. Boredom is the main risk.

Well done @Mickey40 !
If boredom is a trigger, sometimes it can help to roughly plan your days ahead of time with activities that allow you to focus your attention elsewhere

Day 10 and another weekend navigated. Starting to feel like I can do this. Also want to have more alcohol free days as I think that my resistance is lower after a couple of glasses of wine

Re: Day 2 of 100
Had a bit of a stress meltdown last night & was very close to gambling. I didn’t want to start the 100 days again- so I didn’t do it. Strange that feeling accountable to strangers seems to be working

Well done!! Thats a win in itself! Remind yourself of the consequenses when you feel tempted next. You will find as time goes on and you fight through each urge, it does tend to get easier.
What did you do instead to help yourself de-stress and be distracted from the idea of gambling?

I watched The Crown and let myself feel stressed rather than trying to distract myself.
Day 12 today. I need to keep my faith in my ability to beat this high.
