Haha you too @How the F did I get here so here is to Saturday mornings without casino hangovers. Enjoying coffee rather than trying to un-fk what I did last night. Whilst the urges remain, they go and eat a bag.. results smash urges any day!!
    Happy Sat everyone!

    Australia Day Thoughts.
First. 30 Days!!! Almost at 1/3 through the first part of the journey - the 100 day challenge! it will be one month tomorrow since I have gambled in any form. Happy with that.

It still amazes me how available gambling is in this country. I know the Governments are addicted to the revenue as we are to the games, but this last month has made me realise what a difficult thing to do in giving up this thing given the level of accessibility and temptation. Sure there is the banning from venue thing, but really - if you live in a city, they are on like every damn corner! Makes it difficult huh.

Things I have noticed so far. My bills are now being paid on time. The "no caller id" phone calls have stopped. I have redirected my addictive nature into Candy Crush - far cheaper (free!!) than my previous "gaming" career :)

Still not getting as much sleep at night, but other things keep me up now, not finances.

My budget spreadsheet looks good now, with actually sticking to it, rather than loosing a s tonne and then re-scattering payments "the next fortnight" , and then repeating it over.

Much love to you taking this journey.

Day 31. Bored sitting at home today, but I know it was the right decision. Urges were bad, and I know it was the beat thing to just stay here.

Feeling strong for doing it. Looking forward to the urges feeling less and less but happy that I made the decision today and stuck to it.

Pay day tom. Plans in place. Eyes on the prize

Thanks @Springhope2020 and @How the F did I get here
3rd Payday, and 3rd plan in place. Luckily my pay goes in around 5am, so I sat in bed and literally pid everything so I didn’t have cash available to me. The fun thoughts always go thru my mind of the what if scenarios, but I can already see the change, albeit small but they are there in my financial position and also using that technique of how I felt after the inevitable big loss.

This **** is hard, but hey no one ever said it was going to be easy right?!

    How are you both going?

    Well what a scare today.

All I could think of all day was gambling. All I wanted to do. All I thought of, mind wasn’t even on work. So I decided fuk it.. don’t care anymore.

Went to the casino. Drew out $200. Started walking up stairs.

    Grabbed a beer.

Then thought what the f am I doing... all that hard work undone. Walked out. Put the money back in the bank. Caught a bus home. Still feel like absolute **** that I got that close.

Damn.. so so far to go on this thing.

Day 34, over 1/3 there. Thanks @Mona58 , it’s a great suggestion. I just have to get over the anxiety I suffer of putting myself out there and I hope that works.

Happy Thursday :) time to draw lots of strength to move into the next week and not let the stupid addiction allow any more evil thoughts :)
