    hi @MEZ

    Welcome to the forum.

Having a lapse is all part of the journey when it comes recovering from addictions. The key is to learn from it and try not to it again, don't beat yourself up over it as that will only continue the lapse and try to limit access to funds of course.

Take care and all the best.

Hey "How the f did I get here"
    Where have you been?
I've been looking for you like stalker lol
Thanks but I have no idea how I have managed not to gamble, I think you reach a point sometimes where you finally have had enough and whilst would love to go there are a few factor's which prevent me like:

    1. I don't make the money i used to anymore.
    2. Self exclusion especially the photo recognition now they have at the casino really helps.
    3. If I want a future and not end up homeless now is the time to act.
    4. I felt I was on that red line, you know if i crossed over it their was no coming back I would have lost everything, so it was time to act.

I think I'm 84 day's gamble free and yes I still want to go even to the point of thinking booking a holiday to gamble oversea's OMG
But I have no money right now and you would think I would have saved heaps right? NOPE Bill's everywhere! Grrr

    HAPPY NEW YEAR

    How you going anyway?

    Hey @LOSER1973 on]LOSER

Hahahaha! Let's be honest we all like a good stalk!
Yeah I've been off the rails! And then when I was on here commenting and browsing there was nothing happening on here and not much interaction.

That facial recognition you talk about sounds great!

You are absolutely killing it! Well bloody done! I remember a few times when I hit the number you are currently at. Just don't get complacent (is that how it's spelt?) Lol
    Feeling super stoked for you.

I'm ready to smash it! 2020 shall be gamble free for me. Happy New Year to you also.

    Sending strong vibes your way
    💪👊

Hey "How the F did I get here"

"Abbbra Kadabra" Hey presto and you appear!!!!

Why don't you go self exclude from the casino too and to save yourself the parking money you might as well go self exclude from all the pokies venue's while your in the city. One small step for man.............
Think about all the poor people who lost there homes and everything from clothes, jewellery, photo's like everything that they don't even have a place to sleep and no clean air because it's toxic smoke and here we are slamming thousands in a stupid machine that is only awake if its plugged in?
Time for you sir to "bust a move" and do something to HELP YOURSELF!
You got this C'mon, come back and tell me you self excluded!!!

    Hi ya I'm 33 days pokies free..... I'm not feeling the urge at this moment. Everyday is a celebration for me that I don't play. I have rewarded myself with a little shopping trip new outfit might not sound like much but I have been buying second hand clothes to hide the fact I'd blown my money on the pokies. Feeling happy ;);

    Hey @LOSER1973

Yo! They are valid points you made, but we all know its not as easy as that.
I've had many situations in the past of where family have been struggling bad for money and instead of helping them out I gambled.

Many situations where I've seen people experience tragedies and when someone you know dies you say " ***** it, that's it I'm not gambling anymore life is short blah blah"

When you see strangers who have had really tough cards dealt them, you think "****, what do I have to be depressed about".

You get into that zone for a bit of I'm not going to gamble, then you do!

But anyhoo! I'm rounding out Day 4 on my mammoth mission, no gambling, no smoking, no fast food, no soft drink.
All or nothing I am afraid!

No I haven't excluded. I tried to about 1.5 year ago at my local but after the experience I had I wouldn't do it again.

    Sounds like your charging along!
    Good on you!

    I completely understand what you are saying I went through this several years ago self excluded 1 on 1 with gamblers counciler and here I am back again to the same place . To me it's obvious I can't trust myself to play pokies ever because I'm addicted. I'm cleansing my life started with clothes, kitchen ,car , changing my routine keeping busy well it's a start long way to go but I have to start somewhere :);
