    Last Friday night I was out at the club celebrating a family members birthday, when my sister in law asked me to join her outside for a cigarette. I followed her out towards the outside gaming room, then paused. I had left my wallet in my bag back at the table and only had my smokes in my hand. I told her I would be out there in a few seconds and returned to retrieve my wallet. I did this deliberately as I know there will be times in the future when I will be put in these tempting situations and I needed to see if I was strong enough to resist the urge. I returned to the gaming room, had my smoke and watched as she, and many others, slapped away. I then returned to the table to join the rest of my family.
    Today is day 100 and a huge milestone in my journey
    For me to be able to walk into that room last week with money in my hand and not put a dollar in is a far bigger win
    Thank you all for your support over the last few months and I will keep you all updated as for me this is just the beginning :); :); :);
    You absolute legend Jess!!!! Wow! Just scrolled through your thread.
    You did it! And you now appear to be strong and gaining back YOU!
    Very inspiring. Keep up the amazing effort.
    I also know what it feels like to feel like absolutely nothing. Just started the last few days to tell myself I am worthy and start living the beautiful life I want.

    You are very worthy Jess. Never forget that.
    Keep pushing lovely. X

    hi all,
    Sorry I have not been active on here lately
    I am doing great :); :); :); it has now been over 8 months since I last gambled and my life has changed drastically. I am now content with myself and my life choices, I still feel a lot of guilt over the things I have done in the past but I am learning that I can no longer dwell on the past all I can do is keep looking forward and try everyday to be my best self. Having this forum in the early weeks/months was a real life saver for me, just having somewhere I could be completely honest and know I was not being judged but just supported.
    I now feel I need to start being more active on here and supporting those who need it just like you all have done for me.

    I cannot thank you all enough for the support I have received xxxx

    Hi @jessm86

    It is so great to hear you haven't been gambling for 8 months and feeling good about that. Great achievement!
    Feeling guilty over the past is normal, but as you said, staying looking forward and our own best is the most important thing, which you are already doing.

    Come back sometimes to this forum.
    Wishing you all the best jessm86.
