    Hi @TimTam ,
    Thanks for the reply :);
    I am at the end of day 12 now and i am feeling quite good.
    Tomorrow is my birthday and I would normally celebrate by hitting the club for the day. But this year I have invited family over and I feel really good about spending the day with my loved ones instead of sitting with my arms and legs wrapped around a machine being anti social.
    I have tried quitting many times before but have never felt this positive about it.
    Thanks again for the reply and I hope things are well for you ;);

    I am now over the 2 week mark,
    Last night my partner of 7 years and father of my daughter has decided to move out. I still don't know how I feel about this, I feel scared, powerless and relived all at the same time. To be honest, our relationship has been over for quite some time now.
    It is now more important than ever before that I don't gamble.
    It will be the first time I have had to manage all the finances by myself and that is scary!
    I imagine that the next few months are going to be quite challenging but I know deep down that I can do this, with the help of my counselor, family and the great support I have found on here.
    So thank you all for the replies and inspiring stories that remind me I am not alone.
    Will keep you all updated
    Jess xx

    Hi @jessm86 ,

    A belated happy birthday to you, and congratulations on the 2 week mark!

    It sounds like you're feeling a mix of emotions after a whirlwind of a week- Life changes can feel quite triggering if our lives become temporarily de-stabilised, so it's great to hear that you are continuing to be supported by your family and counsellor at this time. Challenges are a normal part of the process, but I can hear the positive strength you are putting into this.

    Have you got any thoughts around how you might manage your finances going forward- Will you continue to do so the way you have been in the past or are you thinking of developing a new management plan perhaps?

    As always, keep taking it a day at a time, you're doing great!

    Thanks for the reply @flipper (facilitator)
    Day 18
    Yesterday was a really hard day, I really struggled to keep my emotions in check. I have been feeling really overwhelmed and for the first time in weeks I had some real urges to gamble
    Now that I am in control of all the finances I can't let myself slip back into my old habits
    If rents not paid, I have no place for me and my daughter to live.
    If I blow all my money, because lets face it, I don't know when to stop. I will have no food on the table.
    If I can't show my daughters father I can do this on my own chances are he will take her into his care full time

    More than ever I have to do this I have too much to lose.

    Hi all,
    Today marks 51 days!!!!!
    I am officially over the half way mark for this 100 day challenge. That is 51 days that I have not spend a single cent on gambling and it feels good. I am really starting to see huge changes in myself:
    The anxiety that I used to have on a daily basis is gone!
    I am so much calmer
    My head is clearer
    My bills are paid
    I feel better about myself and am slowly trying to rebuild my self-esteem

    Accomplishing the 100 days is just the beginning for me, a milestone. I never thought that not gambling would change my life in so many ways.

    Thank you all for your kind words and support thus far :); :); :); :);
