So after nearly 8 months GF. I have fallen in a massive hole. In 2 short weeks i have filled my nearly debt free life with massive debts again. Drained all my accounts and wracked up a full credit card with cash redraws.
I don't know why have taken such a massive backward step and i feel ill.
I literally want to lay down and not wake up again.
All i can do is start over and start the dreaded day one again

    Hi Cazza!

. It is really hard And We need to be vigilant our whole life. l am very aware of what happened when I had my slip and l try hard not to get to that point again... not that hasn't happened but I stay away from that area and put my strategies in place. I know it gets frustrating at times... but its better than falling in a hole again.

Don't be too hard on yourself... you'll be stronger this round!

    Stay strong!

    Mona

    Great thread Cazza. Thanks.
I was saddened to read that you have had a relapse and feel down. Although I feel I know your character a bit from reading these posts and I can tell you are very strong and will overcome your latest set-back.
In an earlier post on here you mentioned a 'quit app'. Can you tell me which one you use, or which one anyone recommends.
Just starting my journey of quitting and I think an app on my phone would be helpful.

Thanks everyone. It helps knowing there is no judgment from this site. Feel much better today and going back to having no atm card on me when i go out.
Another positive is that every weekend from now until Christmas is booked with things and so that will keep my mind occupied too.
Kaizen the app i have is Quitzilla. I will have to go back to reading it myself daily, wishing you well on the start of your journey also

So it's been a week GF and i feel better. Trying to work out my debts. I know the credit card has to go as that is my fallback.
Subconsciously i wonder if that's why i never closed it off to begin with. We are also restructuring our mortgage so that there is no redraw facility on it.
Even though one part of my brain is starting the 100 days again, the other side is counting that next week would have been 8 months GF.
How ever i choose to go as long as i am not gambling is the bonus.
    Have a lovely week everyone

Cazza, you have my full support for fighting this off. I understand how difficult it is to get rid of this demon. Take it one day at a time, you can do this.
