    Thanks Tony,

Not meaning to sound cynical... but it is still early days and only feels like yesterday ... maybe it is because I have my mind on tomorrow ' the second payday since not gambling.

It has consumed much of my thinking and it has its physical and mental impacts.

But yeah! Determination is strong thanks to reading posts and the helpful information on this site.

    How are you doing?

Mona in day 16 ...a bit nervous of tomorrow!

I'm trying but not succeeding. Gambled yesterday and today.$570 gone in two days. However every day I don't gamble is a step in the right direction.
I struggle to keep away from venues because I work in them a lot of the time.
That's no excuse, don't get me wrong, there are strategies I should be using, just because I'm in them, don't mean I have to gamble. Start day one

    Hi Tony '

You are in a precarious situation. And as you say you need to "keep trying". I think sometimes that we have lost respect for money. I've survived two "paydays" thus far and it hadn't been easy. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for a "gambler" to be surrounded by temptation.

You would need to be extra strong in fighting the urges . I'd had thought these urges as temptations but until yesterday's experience with a urge l realise that resisting the temptations was easier than fighting a urge... I'm confusing myself now! I'm still learning!

Be strong Tony you CAN do it!

Mins well done on day day 18 congrats
99 more days to go to complete the challenge.
I'm trying counting down instead of checking off, only Symantecs but I like to shake things up lol
Gotta keep telling myself walk away from pokie and keno machines, I do not ever stay in front. I can not gamble even a little,
My wife now holds my card and I give her cash, and when I need it I ask. It sounds like I'm a baby lol but I will do whatever it takes to stay GF. Long hard road ahead, but I have kicked other habits before, smoked for 20 years= quit 8 years ago. Drank 4 beers 6 days a week for a decade=no grog for 2.5 months. Pokies and keno next.
    Same principle, gamble=pain

Well congrats on quitting smoking I'm back on day one for this I've been so focused on quitting the pokies and only manage 2 or 3 days without ... I know I'll get there , it does seem to get easier and sometimes I forget to smoke so I think that a good thing.

We all need to do what's best for us.

    Stay strong!

98 done on day 97 today. No probs or urges so far. I have had any jobs in a venue yesterday so no temptations.
Worked in a venue today but it was early so no pokies or keno on. Sweet, I would normally be disappointed in this but not today, I was very happy.
