Thanks once again @Mona58 and @How the F did I get here ..

Day 17, back in the routine and “home safe” .. no distractions on way home, changed up my route.. feeling super happy. I get the emotion thing Mona, that actually explains it nicely how was feeling- thank you :)

Pay day ready with bills and everything else ready for transfer before I even get out of bed!!

Living can actually be quite cheap without the casino in the middle huh! 😂

Thanks for the ongoing support team! Bring on Day 18!!

    Hi @BrisbaneLad
Great to learn you have been doing so well when I am back to the forum today!

How have you been doing since you were back to work yesterday?
Have you tried a different rout to go to work? It seems it is a payday today and it is normal to feel anxious about that.
I wish you all the best in handling it well, BrisbaneLad.

Thanks so much @gzy3 , back at work, changed my route, and paid everything before I got out of bed only leaving me with essentials for the weeks.

So hard with the thoughts of the what if’s going through my head.. but used the feelings of the past when I blew my pay many times on pay day to push through it and kept paying bills and debts.

Another day another hurdle jumped. Super happy with that :)

Thanks so much @dragon007 (facilitator) , yep Day 19 and here we are! It’s funny this week the urges have been getting stronger rather than less that I was expecting well into week 3. Like I’m a realist, I know they will always be there, but been heaps stronger this week. Just keep putting them aside and opening netbank to see I have money 24 hours after pay day, and all bills Paid for the fortnight. Been quite a while since that’s happened, and it’s been a good diversionary strategy from those nasty urges!

Looking forward to hitting the 3 week mark on Friday :)

Don't look at the money! When I first started I remember being terrified of money in the bank! Get everything you need and pretend you don't have any money left!
I also remember when I'd start buying coffee and cake between paydays. Going shopping . paid. No scrimping. Like your statement living is cheap without gambling.

    Well done and stay strong!

    Haha ok @Mona58 ! I won’t ;)

Today was fkn hard. The waves of desire to go and play were strong and high. Constantly.. as I put one away another came just as strong....
I almost broke today.. but screw that.. I’m so glad at 9pm tonight, lying in bed I didn’t. So... so glad 👏
