I know people will take days of abstinence of a trophy , the way i look at it . If you tell yourself i will not gamble again this is what i admire not how many days you have not gambled . keep it up one day at a time. This disease can be defeated don't let people get in your ear and you can't.

    Thanks Speltitallagain and Zacawadz,

Would love to say I will never gamble again but all I can think about it hoping on a plane interstate and going to the nearest Casino LOL I have stopped once before like 7 years ago lasted 8 months and then hit the pokies with a vengeance and addiction got even worse. But going ok so far!

    Thanks Mish_27,

62 day's now really wanted to go the other day I guess the self exclusion from the casino and knowing they have recognition camera's now I really don't want the embarrassment of being busted. Also updated my photo at the local pokies too.

These barriers really are great for the difficult moments - good on you for putting them in place for yourself.

How are you feeling this week?
I know it's painful for you at the moment but it does sound like you're going really well - 62 days is fantastic!

Yes ok I am busy at work due to Christmas so helps keep your mind off things, also paying bulls with any spare money I have around to not get tempted.

    Glad to hear it.

It also sounds like you have great strategies in place for when work's not so busy, such as not having access to cash. All great stuff.

Is there something you're looking forward to doing because you're not gambling this christmas?
