Website Update Consultation
We are currently going through a small website update which is going to make Gambling Help Online more welcoming and easier to use.
We understand people are naturally hesitant to seek help, and this can be difficult for many people who are experiencing gambling-related problems.
We are looking at revising messaging on Gambling Help Online to encourage help-seeking and make it more reassuring for people to go on and get help.
We have been carefully considering the wording of the site and particularly wanted to ask your opinion for some of the major headings/taglines of the front page. We especially want to engage new people with the service so it's important that we don't scare people away and instead make them want to read more.
At the very top of the new front page we have a tagline 'A free service for anyone affected by gambling'
Some things we would like you to consider are:
• How do you feel about this welcoming statement?
• Are there better words that would speak to you?
• Is there a message that could increase the confidence of people seeking help?
• Are any of the words too emotive or difficult that we should reconsider?
We also have a prominent section dedicated to explaining the services we offer which is currently called –
‘How we can help'
Some other options could include:
• ‘Services we offer'
• ‘Options to help yourself'
We are interested to know:
• Do any of these options work for you?
• Are there better words we could use?
• Would any of these turn you away from our service?
We would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to help us with this task and we look forward to chatting about this over the coming days.
