    Hi @Marie-Rose,
Welcome to the forum. Thank you for sharing your story with everyone here.
It's difficult to watch some one you love and care about struggling with something like this. Not to mention the memory this might bring back for you. How are you feeling about this?

Is your son planning on reaching out? What helped you to stop back then? Perhaps there is some strategies you can pass on to him?
Keep us updated and don't hesitate to ask us any questions!

Hi. My brother has a pokies addiction, but he doesn't feel that way. In his opinion, he's having fun trying his luck. I haven't found the words to explain it to him yet. I hope to find the right words on this forum.

    Hi @YoungRon,
    How are you?

It is difficult in this situation where you can clearly see what's happening but the person doesn't. This is a link that can help you decide what stage your brother is in and how you can approach him for conversation: https://www.sharc.org.au/wp-content/upl ... elpful.pdf. And in this link, it has some helpful tips on how to have the conversation: https://www.sharc.org.au/wp-content/upl ... ements.pdf. It can be difficult as the conversation can get emotional, just remember to stay calm or pause the talk until you all are calm again.
Let us know what you think about this.

    Hi all,
Just joined because I found out yesterday my partner has had a 6 month relapse and has spend all our our wedding savings which is supposed to be in 4 months. Pretty devastated and shocked. Hoping to not feel alone and ashamed by hearing about others’ stories.
