    Intensive Programs

A close family member of mine is in quite a bad way with his gambling, he has tried counselling however stopped going as he didn't feel it was helping. Is anyone aware of any intensive retreat/clinic programs that offer more than a once a week session?

    Hi Greyskies,

I have worked in Gambling addiction for several years and have never heard of any such service.

Looks like you will have to make do with Counselling, self exclusion and tips form this forum.

If you do find any more intensive services and they cost money i would be very skeptical. The government funds proven effective gambling services. If it is not funded by the government (free) then it is unlikely to be supported by evidence.
