    Hi Gamblers wife,

    I agree with Suzybeauty's statements. I think re-read your message and it's interesting to see that your husbands reasoning in April was that you are not 'in a bad financial position', which I think does enable gambling behavior. On the other hand, gambling is (as so many on here can agree with!) a perfect escape from dealing with life issues and challenges. sometimes we are not equipped or have experienced the issue, and gambling becomes the comfort we use. I would encourage him to speak to someone on Gamblers Help, or email GH email counselling if he is still having issues.

    Let us know what support you need too, as you can see a gambling counsellor too as an 'affected other'. It is difficult for everyone involved, so please reach out if you need us!
