    Day 1 starts tomorrow

    Thu Apr 23, 2015 4:51 pm

I have decided that I want to change from now on.
There is no such thing as fast money.
You have to earn your money the hard way, nothing comes easy....

The problem is I have made promises to myself that I would not gamble but have always broken them as the lure the gamble gets so strong..

I've tried so hard to stop the damage.
I have tried the following which is has helped with my recovery journey.

    1. Inpatient / outpatient hospital treatment
    2. Psychologist / Psychotherapy and gambling counseling
    3. Hypnotherapy
    4. Personal training sessions at the gym

All of these have helped and I have made a lot of progress. I just feel that I am going back to my old ways. So it is good to notice that I have slipped and now getting back with my recovery program.

Hi Richard6, couldn't agree with you more, it is good to notice a slip, reflect and move on. Not always easy to do. Can I ask, if you comfortable to respond... what does "getting back to my recovery program" means for you?

    good to see you here

My recovery program includes doing the following.

    - Going to the gym at least 3 - 4 times a week
    - Relaxation music
    - Continued sessions with psychotherapist
    - Smart recovery group

I've noticed a slip now time to get back to recovery...
It is hard to give up gambling as I had loved it but hated the trauma associated with it.
