give self-exclusion a go...it worked for me

What are some strategies when trying to quit or cut down? What works for you?

Hi Popeye,

Sorry about this -

Try going into each Forum (i.e. The Courtyard, Strategies for Change...) and in the top right-hand corner you will see a little box with a dash in it. Click that, and it will give you the option "Add to Favourites". If you click that, then it will appear in "My Profile", as AnnaB had suggested.

The problem we're currently trying to fix, is that each time a new topic is added, you have to re-click "Add to Favourites" to get notifications about posts in that new thread.

It's a little convoluted, but we're working on it

I've posted about how to get notifications in the "Feedback on Services" forum as well.

Hi PopeyeThanks for your message...just wondering if you got this post? It does sound a bit weird so I will look into too. Thanks for your patience with all this!

Hi Popeye,I know it is a bit confusing...ok, here goes...if you go into "My profile", you should see on left hand side of the page there's a few boxes, one of which is titled "Favorites", in that box you can click on forums and when you click on it, you will then get the option of notification come up on the main page. At this point you can tick boxes, suggest do all (click top one) and select the option of email notification. Let me know how you go - I tried to do a screen shot but it didn't load...am around tomorrow during the day so any probs, can try to address them then - we can also do a trial run to see if worked if keen? - just let me know.

Cheers

Hi guys,I've been having trouble too and discovered the reason for receiving email notifications and then not was because I needed to redo my favourites list. I now do this regularly to try and avoid missing anything new plus scanning through.... which can indeed feel like a 'treasure hunt' as Popeye called it . Well worth it though - hope that makes sense, if it doesn't let me know and I can post more details on how to do this...
