Hey everyone,

BrittV here, your new community manager. I've been really impressed joining onto the forums at what a supportive community this is, and am really happy to be here, working to make it as helpful as possible for everyone!

A few of you have mentioned some events coming up that you’re worried could cause temptation to gamble. We understand this can be a particularly difficult time.

I thought now might be a good time to highlight a few tools that are available to you, and safeguard the gambling of you or someone you care about.

Many have found using the resources on the Gambling Help Online website to be really helpful. The Making a Change page is full of extra measures that you can take to arm yourself against the temptation to gamble during this time.

For information about venue self-exclusion, blocking gambling ads on your internet browser, and blocking websites from your mobile/iPad, have a look at the Self-Exclusion page.

For those concerned about the gambling of something close to them, there is information on Ways for family and friends to support gamblers.
