Well done Pamela, two years....for sure now you've made so many positive changes in your life. I admire how you've taken up the cudgels of speaking up for the issues of problem gambling, it's a great effort!

Like you, we'll probably never undo the damage that our gambling inflicted upon ourselves, but at least by stopping we can try to repair and recover. Certainly be continuing to gamble, we'd all keep sliding down that awful slippery slope. You are an inspiration to all Pamela.

Hi Pamela,

So good to hear, I imagine it has been a tough road at times and your story has been an inspiration and comfort to many people on here. Keep up the good fight with Consumer Voice too, I think that illustrating to gaming workers the impact on consumers helps to shed light on the issue more and more.
Less than a week to go :)

Cheers,

I love reading your post here....
It shows me where I was, and where I want to be in the future and makes me feel like it is possible.
thank you.

its early days for me, but I can already see it up ahead
and look foreward to a long, sustained , mind altering period of not gambling.
I want to know in my soul like you that I don't need to gamble anymore!!!
I cqn see by making the RIGHT DECISIONS and keeping at it.....
I can retrain my mind with repetition, to the new behavior
and be the person I want to be.
over time the gambling voice will get smaller and smaller
until it becomes like an annoying little fly that I can easily shoo away!!!!!!

2 YEARS GAMBLE FREE. I REALLY HOPE THERE IS SOME HUGE CELEBRATION HAPPENING. (or at least a small gift to self)

I personally think you are amazing, an inspiration to many and a living proof THE CYCLE CAN BE BROKEN. Well done Pamela.

I'm only 8 days gamble free and have another 722 days to be where you are at however it too is my goal to be free from the burden of poker machines.

Your story inspires me so thank you.
