Hi everyone,

It's worth remembering that breaking away from any addiction is not a linear process. It's a process that will have highs and lows, and How the Eff Did I Get Here, I understand you are deflated at the moment because you had a lapse- but there is a difference between a lapse and a relapse. A relapse is where you go back to old patterns you have moved away from completely, whilst a lapse occurs when someone might engage in the behaviour again but is able to see that it was a slip up and learn from it as they continue on their journey to recovery. So be kind to yourself, it is all a part of the process, and it's what you do from here that counts.

LocalLad how are you going?
